Among the popular M65 field jackets, this is an introduction of an individual that is considered to be the first period type. This jacket is estimated to be from 1965-1966 and was worn by former Special Forces personnel. The jacket was originally worn by former Special Forces personnel in 1965-1966, and since Special Forces personnel were given priority in receiving the latest equipment, it is believed that this jacket was obtained from an individual who had just started receiving it. The patches are all sewn on except for the South Vietnam Airborne insignia, which appears to be government-issued. Some of the patches are cleaner than the rest of the jacket, so there is a possibility that they were restored or sewn on at a later date.
The jacket itself is a very rare first model of the M65 and lacks the characteristic shoulder epaulettes. The zipper is made of aluminum and unfortunately the slider is missing. The contract tag, size tag, and instruction tag are still present. It is in Used condition with some fading and stains on the sleeves and other areas. This is a very popular and very rare early M65 jacket. Don't miss out! This is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
