This hunting jacket was tailored using the South Vietnamese Marine Corps (VNMC) pattern Tiger Stripe actual fabric. This jacket was made from Poplin's actual fabric, probably from Danang's tailor in Vietnam. Unusually, the Tiger pattern is used vertically in places and the pattern on the back remains large. It has the U.S. Navy rank insignia on the collar and the South Vietnamese rank insignia directly embroidered on the chest. These were probably sewn on later. There are also some patches that have been removed from the pockets and other parts of the jacket, so it was probably originally made as an advisor's jacket for the U.S. Navy, but we think it was reproduced later with embroidery on a jacket made in the 1970s or 1980s. The fabric is clean and the color remains beautiful. It is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
